Wausau’s first 100% free art studio for the community is a vibrant hub of creativity and inclusivity, offering a welcoming space for individuals of all ages and backgrounds to explore their artistic talents. Established with the vision of making art accessible to everyone, this studio provides a variety of free materials and tools, as well as workshops and classes led by local artists. It fosters a supportive environment where community members can collaborate, learn new skills, and express themselves through various forms of art. By eliminating financial barriers, the studio ensures that everyone has the opportunity to engage in creative pursuits, enriching the cultural fabric of Wausau and promoting a sense of community and shared inspiration.
Yes! Bring whatever you’d like and take that with you. We hope to have small lockers donated soon so that you can leave and lock up your art supplies for projects at the studio whenever you come back!
Absolutely! However this is self-guided adult art space. Children under 15 will have to be accompanied by an adult and monitored by that adult.
We ask that no one leaves their children here un-accompanied.
Yep! We have stocked shelves with donated materials, beads, paper, craft kits, paint, canvases, drawing pads and so much more.

Rise Up someday hopes to divert a impactful amount of usable material from our landfill for creative endeavors. Along with stocked shelves to “shop” from if you’re in need of art supplies, our studio will also offer free monthly workshops to our artistsic community.
